The Call To The Harvest
• Series: Stand Alone Sermons
This sermon is delivered by our guest speaker, Pastor Vinnie from Uganda. The Harvest is Plentiful: Answering God's Call to Reach the Lost Jesus looked at the crowds with compassion, seeing them as 'distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.' He declared that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, using this powerful agricultural metaphor to describe souls ready for God's kingdom. In today's world, we see similar spiritual needs manifesting through rising addiction rates, increasing suicides, false spiritual solutions, growing crime, declining faith commitment, and widespread loneliness despite our connected society. These are modern signs that people need the guidance, hope, and truth that comes only through Christ. God calls each believer to step forward as a worker in His spiritual harvest. This requires personal commitment, acknowledging God's power over the harvest, and making the gospel relevant to people's real-life situations. Churches play a vital role by identifying spiritual gifts, creating ministry pathways, addressing practical needs, providing training, and supporting frontline workers. The harvest truly is plentiful in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and communities. God is looking for willing workers to engage in this crucial spiritual work. Will you answer His call?
